Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt’s responsibility is manifested in zero emissions, energy efficiency, and certified buildings.
Responsibility guides all of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt’s operations. The environment, society, as well as our owners and stakeholders are considered in everything we do, whether it concerns construction, people’s well-being, or future planning.
Responsibility in our operations
Most concretely, responsibility is seen in Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt’s choice to use only electricity produced by wind power and district heating produced with renewable energy sources. All new construction projects by Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt are implemented in accordance with the requirements of reputable environmental certificates. In addition, existing buildings and their energy efficiency are continuously improved, and environmental certificates are sought for them whenever possible.
The realization of responsibility is closely monitored at Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt using various metrics. The metrics show that Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt has succeeded excellently in its sustainability work, but the work continues, as the company’s goal is to be carbon neutral by 2029, in line with the entire Turku city group.
