Waste management and recycling

Technology Properties’ goal is to achieve a 100% recycling rate, and we strive to make the journey of waste as smooth as possible from office recycling bins all the way to final processing. Each property in Turku Science Park has its own designated waste collection point.

Technology Properties’ buildings currently collect the following waste fractions: energy waste, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastic, bio waste, WEEE (electrical and electronic waste), fluorescent tubes, and batteries.

Waste sorting in offices

Efficient waste management requires correct sorting at the point where waste is generated. It is the responsibility of all Technology Properties tenants to ensure that appropriate and sufficient waste bins are available in their offices. We encourage all our customers to recycle efficiently and, when needed, provide guidance on waste sorting instructions and proper labelling of waste bins.

Property‑specific waste and recycling guidelines help tenants sort waste correctly. These guidelines also provide detailed information on which waste fractions are collected in each property.
