EduCity

EduCity is a modern learning environment built by Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt for Turku University of Applied Sciences, completed in the summer of 2020. It was designed by Arkkitehtitoimisto Sigge. In addition to the university, the building houses Nordea, Cloetta, Ewals Cargo Care, and Unica. A partner building, LinkCity, is being planned for EduCity, which would serve as its mirror image once completed.

Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's cleaning partner, Coor, delivers the waste sorted by customers to the recycling/waste collection point according to fractions. However, due to limited space, the cleaners may have to combine fractions in carts, but they are sorted correctly at the recycling point. Different fractions must be clearly marked so that the cleaner knows what is intended to be sorted in each bin.

Are Oy is responsible for property maintenance and access control at Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's premises. You can submit a fault report or service request using the maintenance request form.

The area offers a wide range of services, from lunch restaurants to sports facilities, car washes, and parcel lockers. View the location of services in the Science Park here.

You can order various premises services for your own facilities from Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt, such as cleaning, a coffee machine, internet connection, or maintenance of green decor. Access rights can be purchased for the shower and locker room facilities located in ElectroCity, CivilCity, and InfraCity. It is always good to agree on the move schedule and plan with us in advance. During moving, please note the need to protect floor and wall surfaces if necessary and prioritize the use of the building's freight elevator whenever possible. Vehicles used for moving must be parked appropriately during the move, and service routes (loading docks/basement areas) should be used whenever possible. Exterior doors must be kept closed during the heating season when goods are not being moved between the vehicle and the indoors. Incoming mail is delivered to the premises unless otherwise agreed.

Contract and guest parking areas in Turku Science Park are marked on the area map. Parking in the area is managed by Aimo Park Finland Oy.

Coor is responsible for cleaning the common areas of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt. The maintenance and cleanliness of the building's outdoor areas are handled by Turun Talo Team. For comments and complaints regarding cleaning, the contact person at Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt is Service Manager Jari Salomaa, tel. +358 40 501 6370. The contact person for building outdoor areas at Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt is Property Manager Tuomas Ahlman, tel. +358 40 754 5197.

Charging stations are located in the BioCity guest parking area (floor -1), in the DataCity and BioCity contract parking areas, in the basement of EduCity, and on the ground floor of the TriviumCity parking garage. More charging stations can be found in the ParkCity guest parking.

Contract parking charging stations are for the use of customers who have signed a parking contract with Aimo Park Oy. The space is for use during the charging period, and the vehicle must be moved from the charging station once charging is complete. Parking spaces intended for charging cannot be booked in advance, and the spaces are intended only for electric and hybrid vehicles while charging. Misuse will result in a control fee.

Avarn Security Oy is responsible for safety and order at Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt's premises and outdoor areas; their telephone number is +358 10 620 2000 (open 24/7).

 

Werstas offers collaborative workspaces in the Turku Science Park area. If you need more space or are interested in different coworking solutions, please check out Werstas' memberships or contact us via email.

EduCity's terraces are common areas of the property, available for all property users. There is also a possibility to pass through the terraces to other parts of the building.

Please remember when using the terrace:

· Staircases serve as emergency exits, so access to the staircases must remain clear.

· Areas in front of doors must be kept clear.

· The tenant is responsible for locking their own premises.

· Do not leave litter on the terrace.

You may eat your own snacks in the work café at the top of the Taito stairs. The work café is open to everyone working in the building. Please remember to clean up after yourself and dispose of your trash.
