Arespartners wanted office space specifically in the Science Park – the reason is familiar to many

Arespartners, which specializes in recruiting key personnel and leadership development, found its new office space in ElectroCity. They wanted to invest in the space, because for Arespartners, an office is not just a workstation, but a part of the client experience.

– I knew immediately that we wanted our Turku office specifically in the Science Park. It is easy to get here by car or train, the facilities are functional, and the area has good services as well as a communal spirit. People say hello in the elevator, and I run into acquaintances at lunch, says the new head of Arespartners' Turku office, Sami Puumalainen.

The company moved into its new 74-square-meter premises from Old Mill and chose the Science Park specifically for its accessibility and services.

– We wanted an office that, in addition to an office room, also has a meeting room and a coffee lounge for more relaxed meetings. We have many clients visiting here, and it is important that the space supports our way of working.

New kind of added value for recruitment

Arespartners is known in particular for recruiting top management and key personnel, as well as for direct search. In recent years, traditional headhunting has been supplemented by business development and management consulting services.

– We are driven by the idea that a good recruitment process does not end with the signing of an employment contract. We continue where many others end the process. We want to help the new leader succeed in their work; we provide sparring, for example, for a new CEO during the first 100 days and help in building the management team.

Arespartners' goal is to improve the client's business comprehensively. According to Puumalainen, successful companies are connected by three factors: they have a clear vision of the direction for the future, the right people in the right roles, and the focus of their activities is on the right things.

– Companies may have challenges or development needs, for example, in organizational leadership, increasing sales, or improving business profitability. In these situations, we want to be a strategic partner, not just a recruiter.

Arespartners invests particularly in encounters and the client experience from the perspective of both employers and job seekers.

– Surprisingly often, you hear that people's experiences with recruitment processes have not been good. Because it is a question of both our brand and our client's employer image, it is extremely important to us that everyone feels they have been treated well and that the process leaves a positive impression regardless of whether the person is chosen for the job or not, Puumalainen emphasizes.

For Arespartners, it was important to find their own office instead of a communal space, because few people involved in a recruitment process want to be spotted in the hallways with a recruitment consultant.

– Anonymity is really important to us. The micro-location of our office on the third floor of ElectroCity is perfect for us, as it enables privacy for applicants. It is great that we got an office in a place that supports our way of working.
