IT consultancy Brightly Works Oy's office is located at Werstas Kalevala in DataCity. The company moved into Werstas' premises earlier this year, when business growth created a need for a larger office.
Markus Varho, Luke Jäppinen, and Elina Korpela are at the office to meet us when Werstas communications visits the Brightly Works office.
– We are an IT consultancy founded in 2020. We have offices in Helsinki, Tampere, Oulu, and here in Turku. Our clients include medium-sized and large companies from various industries in Finland. We are also aiming for international growth: we already have a few clients abroad, says Markus Varho.
The focus of Brightly Works' operations is on client companies' data projects throughout their entire lifecycle: data collection, storage, and analytics.
– We do AI projects, cloud services, and user interfaces around them “end to end,” meaning we handle the whole “pipeline” from data collection to its use. We have established ourselves as a workplace for more experienced IT professionals, and what distinguishes us from other players is our high level of IoT and automation expertise, Varho continues.
Varho, Jäppinen, and Korpela enjoy their work very much. Through client projects, they get to know and learn new things about corporate cultures in other fields as well. The work also allows them to challenge themselves and their own skills in a balanced way.

The office location in DataCity and Werstas receives praise, as commuting is easy by bicycle and the diverse selection of lunch restaurants in the Science Park is delightful.
You can see the Brightly Works crew at Werstas Kalevala every day. For Luke Jäppinen, Werstas and the Science Park area are familiar from previous workplaces, and he encounters familiar faces daily while moving around the area and, of course, at the Kalevala coffee machine.

Elina Korpela works at the company's Helsinki office but also visits Turku regularly.
– Werstas' premises are really nice! It is great that there are many lunch restaurants in the area. We visit Mauno and Yum Bao the most, and you can also get good snacks from the nearby K-market, says Korpela.
In addition to daily work, the Brightly crew also see each other during after-work moments.
– Today we are going out to eat and play billiards after work. Previously, we have been climbing, doing escape rooms, and playing board games, Varho concludes.
