On Wednesday, August 23rd, the best party in the Science Park was held in the Joki courtyard, with guests including Joki's stakeholders and members of the Joki business community, i.e. customers and employees of Joki, Teknologiakiinteistöt and Werstas, as well as guests of the Shift business festival held at Joki on August 23rd-24th.
The evening started in a relaxed manner with music played by DJ PikkuMiska, and at 6 p.m., the hero of all DJs, Windows95Man, took over the stage with his 90s music. Windows95Man is a sympathetic retro character created in 2013 by multidisciplinary artist Teemu Keisteri, who transforms into an audience-entertaining superman when he gets behind – or on top of – the DJ decks.
At 8 p.m., it was the turn of the event's headliner, the Helsinki rap duo JVG, who had just filled the Olympic Stadium with their gig. The concert began with JVG's older production, and at the latest during the mega-hit Amatimies, the audience packed into Jussinaukio went completely wild. The concert also featured mega-hits such as Häissä, Tarkenee and Älä jätä roikkuu, and the evening was crowned by the final song, Ikuinen vappu.
The atmosphere at the party received widespread praise and exceeded the expectations of even the most demanding festival-goers.
– Just a basic Wednesday in Turku at a company party, Ville-Galle laughed, entertaining the packed Jussinaukio square, and next blasted out a "song said to be unknown to people from Turku," Voitolla yöhön.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the event!
The event is made possible by Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt, Turku University of Applied Sciences and Rajupaja.
