In 2022, Turku Energia moved to InfraCity in Itäharju, built by Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt. The bright spaces promote well-being and encourage coming to the office, says Tiina Aho, HR Director at Turku Energia.
Moving to new premises became necessary for Turku Energia due to a zoning change at their old office location. Turku Energia had specific requirements for the new premises.
– We wanted versatile, modern and energy-efficient facilities. Our goal was to increase collaboration, have workspaces that promote occupational well-being, and make it pleasant to come to work. I think we succeeded excellently in this, says Turku Energia's HR Director Tiina Aho.

The building's workspaces are implemented as a multi-space environment with workstations for about 200 people. In addition to workstations, InfraCity has plenty of various meeting rooms, rooms for quiet work, and work cafés, as well as tiered seating suitable for presentations and encounters. The building's street level features a restaurant with access to a terrace.
– The new premises support collaboration nicely, as people doing the same work in different business units work close to each other. Our cozy work café and the auditorium staircase between the floors create excellent conditions for building a sense of community and communication.

The theme of the premises in InfraCity is the different states of energy, which is reflected in photographs on acoustic surfaces, the moss wall in the lobby, and the lighting of the windows. The interior design favors ecological materials that withstand time and wear. The flooring in the workspaces is Bolon wall-to-wall carpet made from recycled materials, which also has sound-dampening properties. Photographs on acoustic surfaces, loose furniture, and a plant wall bring color and life to the stylish spaces. It is clear that the premises and their functionality have been carefully designed.
– The workspaces well support both interactive work and quiet working. For example, there are various workspaces for project work and collaborative brainstorming, Aho rejoices.
