Kesko wanted to make their premises more efficient and became a client of Teknologiakiinteistöt in InfraCity.
– In our previous office, we had private rooms, which is a bit inefficient these days. Now we have an "open desk", and everyone can choose which workstation they want. By moving from private rooms to a multi-space environment, we also achieved cost savings, says Kesko's Regional Director Janne Virtanen.
The new office is located in InfraCity, which was completed in 2023, on Teollisuuskatu. The heart of the nearly 400-square-meter space is a bright work café, whose floor-to-ceiling windows offer views far over Helsinginkatu.
"It is good to work here and nothing is distracting."
– This brightness will certainly bring a boost to the workdays when the darkness of November comes. In the winter, it is also nice that the lunch restaurant is located under the same roof on the ground floor of the building.
In InfraCity, special attention has been paid to sound management, and the soundscape of the Kesko office is also very peaceful.
– It is good to work here and nothing is distracting, but it still feels quite homey. Almost everyone has said that it is great that we moved to new premises, Virtanen concludes.
