Another year has passed – and what a year it was!
This year marked 15 years since the founding of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt, and we celebrated the anniversary with stakeholders by envisioning the future. Werstas, the largest coworking space in Turku, also celebrated a milestone – it has now been operating for 10 years!
During the year, Turku's first wooden office building, AkvaCity, was completed, the most colorful building in the Science Park, ElectroCity, received the international LEED Gold environmental certificate, and we purchased the Arken property complex located by the Aura River. The parking garage ParkCity served as a stage for modern dance, and the SHIFT Business Festival surprised people once again, bringing 2,700 visitors to the Turku Science Park.
During the year, we also hired seven new employees, welcomed a new member to our board, and built Finland's largest outdoor green wall in Jussinaukio. We built or renovated 51 toilets, published 263 Instagram posts, responded to 119 office space inquiries, and signed 79 lease agreements.
Thank you to everyone we have had the pleasure of working with this year. We are donating the funds set aside for Christmas gifts to charity – this year, we have chosen the TYKS Children and Adolescent Clinic as the recipient.
